About UK Furniture Guide
Why we started
Buying furniture in the UK is harder than it should be. Product descriptions are written by marketing teams, "reviews" on retailer sites are cherry-picked, and American advice about sizes and delivery doesn't apply here. We started UK Furniture Guide to fix that: one site with practical, Britain-specific guidance — UK bed sizes in centimetres, realistic delivery timeframes, prices in pounds, and honest assessments of what survives kids, pets and daily life.
How we research
- Specifications first: frame materials, construction methods, dimensions and guarantees — the things that determine how long furniture lasts.
- Verified buyer feedback: we read hundreds of UK customer reviews looking for patterns, not outliers.
- Price tracking: prices shown are checked against current UK retail and updated regularly.
- Practical testing where possible: the showroom tests anyone can do — the wobble test, the corner-lift test, the sit test.
How we make money (honestly)
UK Furniture Guide is free to read and always will be. We make money when readers buy products through links on our pages — the retailer pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is called affiliate marketing, and it's our only revenue stream alongside display advertising in the future.
Our promise: commissions never buy a ranking. Products are chosen on merit; if a product is poor value, we say so or leave it out — even if it pays the highest commission. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
Our editorial standards
- No paid placements in rankings — ever.
- Pros and cons on every recommendation, including the flaws.
- UK-specific advice: sizes, prices, delivery and consumer rights.
- Corrections published promptly when we're wrong — tell us.
