Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 4 October 2026 · Plain-English version of how this site makes money.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a normal product link with a tracking code. If you click it and buy something, the retailer knows the sale came from us and pays us a percentage — typically 3–8% for furniture. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone to the retailer directly.
Which programmes do we use?
We participate in affiliate programmes including Amazon UK Associates and retailer programmes via networks such as Awin. The specific programmes are listed here as they're added: Amazon UK, Awin merchants (including Wayfair UK).
Does this affect our recommendations?
No — and this is the whole point of the site. Our editorial rules:
- Products are researched and ranked on merit: quality, value, and suitability for UK homes.
- Commission rates are never a ranking factor. A product that pays more but offers less will rank lower — or not appear at all.
- Every recommendation lists honest cons alongside the pros.
- We link to non-affiliate retailers too (for example, UK Furniture Online) where relevant, simply because it's useful.
What about display advertising?
In future we may show display advertisements (for example via Google AdSense). Advertisers don't influence our content either — editorial and advertising are kept strictly separate.
Why disclose this?
Because it's the law (UK consumer protection rules require clear disclosure of commercial relationships) and because it's the right thing to do. Trust is the only asset a guide site has — we'd rather over-explain than leave you guessing.
